We offer a supportive environment to empower dog owners so they can have lifelong success with their dogs.
We don't believe in a “one size fits all” approach
Our customized, goal-driven training programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each dog and owner. With a medical model mindset developed through her work as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, our trainer excels in critical thinking, problem-solving and delivering positive, lasting results.

We believe, similar to life, training is a journey.
We want to support you well past your program. This is why we offer pack walks, day trains and structured vacation boarding.
Our community provides support, healthy exposure and appropriate socialization to give your pup the tools they need to succeed for life.
We believe self growth is one of the greatest gifts our dogs can give us.
As you go through your training journey, your dog will likely challenge you in ways you were not expecting. These are typically excellent opportunities for self growth, self compassion, and patience. We honor this process and provide support where needed.

Our Team
Alexandria Bedoya
Lead Trainer

Alexandria's desire to understand dogs and learn proper communication with them began as a young girl trying to better understand her family Maltese dog. With a desire to help people in a holistic way, she found a career as a physical therapist. Her love of dog led her to consider a specialty in Canine Physical Therapy. However, along her journey, she discovered educational opportunities with dog trainers, which reignited her childhood interest in canine psychology, behavior, and dog handling skills. This shift in focus led her to study balanced training with a specialization in behavioral rehabilitation for dogs with fear, aggression, and reactivity. She completed education courses with Method K9, the worlds leading behavioral dog trainer.
Opening Mountain Spirit K9 has fulfilled a lifelong dream. She fell in love with working with dog owners through education and support in order to make life easier and more enjoyable with dogs. Dog training became a way to further connect with her community and give back by empowering others to have relationships that allow safe freedom with their dog(s). She employs a unique approach to dog training and owner support, drawing on the extensive knowledge and skills she developed during her years in healthcare.
Alexandria can be found in the mountains, with Javier and their dogs, where they enjoy biking, snow boarding, rock climbing, hiking and camping.

Oliver
Helper Dog

Oliver is a mixed breed rescued through a foster based organization out of Denver, CO. He loves to please his paw-rents and enjoys working as long as he gets sufficient couch time in-between.
Oliver is a playful pup who loves to flirt with the ladies. He is a sensitive dog that likes things the way he is used to. He has overcome many challenges as a pup which makes him relatable to many clients and their dogs situation.
Oliver is a fun loving and sweet boy who loves to play, use his nose to search for food, and snuggle under the blankets. Oliver's favorite past time is playing tug with mom or dad.
Twyla
Helper Dog

Javier and Alexandria discovered Twyla through an E-list alert online. Despite her lack of training, it was evident that Twyla had a heart of gold and the potential to be an amazing, active pet. Thanks to The Wall Flowers Shine Project, we were able to save Twyla and bring her into our care. During her time as a foster with us, Twyla became a beloved member of the Mountain Spirit K9 Pack, and we couldn’t resist officially adopting her.
Fun Fact: Twyla is named after a character from one of our favorite TV shows, Schitt's Creek.
Twyla loves working for food and ice cubes.
Twyla is an affectionate and highly food-motivated girl. Her greatest challenge has been developing handler focus outside. Twyla is a wonderful example of the potential that rescued dogs have when given patience and dedicated work. Her progress showcases the incredible transformations that can happen with the right care and training.
Here at MSK9 we are always striving to provide only the best experience for you and your dog. We always welcome constructive feedback. As head of Customer Complaints Department, Twyla is always ready to listen to any complaints or concerns—especially if it involves the lack of belly rubs or treats. Her friendly demeanor makes her the perfect candidate for this role.
